Because a commission punishes the restaurants that do well. A flat price is honest: the house does well when your room is full, not when your prices go up.
Your first 35 bookings are free and need no card. When you subscribe, you pay today for the days up to the next 15th, then the full month on every 15th. Cancel any time, effective at the end of the month you paid for.
They run through Stripe, which charges its own processing fee at cost. The house adds nothing on top.
